There’s no doubt that her deep country roots of Pikeville, KY keep her well grounded, but with power-house vocals and stellar dance moves Taylor X is all pop diva.


Her stage name, Taylor X, has been derived from her occupation, a pharmacist. The moment she takes the stage, the audience is captivated by this beautiful, green-eyed bombshell with porcelain skin and firey red hair. With a little Brit Brit, Lady Gaga and Miss Jackson, she combines a fierce sense of style with her heavily choreographed, dance-driven stage shows. She also incorporates party rap in her music similar to Kesha and is inspired by rapper, Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliot, which gives her that extra flavor of an urban pop dance sound.


Taylor is gaining momentum due to her first single and music video, “Fire,” nearing 100,000 YouTube views. The song has been added to iHeartRadio and hit #73 on Mediabase activator Top40 Charts. The video is playing in fitness gym’s nationwide including Planet fitness, Gold’s Gym and LA Fitness. Her second single and music video, “Push”, released late December 2015 with over 106,000 YouTube views. Taylor also released her full LP Album entitled, “No Filter”, on April 12, 2016. She is very involved with her new sound. She co-wrote every song on the album except “Fire”. The album is available on iTunes, Spotify, apple streaming, amazon, google play, iHeartRadio, Shazam and more. Her single, “No Touchy” has been playing on Q108 FM Clarksville radio since the beginning of 2016.


She has performed at renowned Nashville locations such as 12th & Porter, The Cannery Ballroom, The End, The Row, Agenda Nashville, “Rivers and Spires” Festival in Clarksville and has been featured on nationally televised CBS Sports highlights, Women of Substance Radio Podcast, #1 on Al Walser’s Top 20 Show and appeared and performed on NECAT Nashville network’s new late night T.V. talk show, “Binko Talk” in early 2016.. She has also performed at Master P’s reality show, “The Miller’s”, for his daughter, Cymphonique Miller’s grand opening of her new dance studio in California along with Shane Sparks, Emmy award winning choreographer, as the director.


Ms. X has begun to work with Icon Music Group in Atlanta, Georgia which includes development with grammy nominated multi-platinum producer, Teddy Bishop, who has 7 #1 hits under his belt. He has worked with a list of music superstar clientele, including one of Taylor X’s biggest vocal influences, Whitney Houston. With Icon Music Group, she plans to take her music career to the next level; and she means big.. as in shooting for a major record deal so she can really soar.


In her personal opinion, she explains, “ It is really tough out here for new independent artists. We simply can not compete with big name acts for lack of network connections and especially funding. Nontheless, I am shooting for the best of the best in this creative industry. I hold myself to really high standards, sometimes being my own worst enemy, because I am a perfectionist. But, I know what I am capable of and I know my worth. I have an extreme amount of training time, experience and self investment put into Taylor X Music. In my younger years, I was a gold medalist, competitive gymnast and dancer. Then I became a dance teacher and choreographer (hip-hop, jazz, pom, cheer). I remember doing backhand springs at the early age of 5 years old with my mom and sister in the back yard.


I sang my first public appearance with “The Star Spangled Banner” at my kindergarten graduation at 5 years old. My parents didn’t even know I knew the words when my teacher asked them if I would sing it. I’d been singing it in class, which got me in trouble a couple times through my school days because I would start singing while I’d do my school work and “interrupt” the class. Funny enough, I even had to sit out on recess once! My first time singing on the Kentucky Opry was at 9 years old. I recorded my first album at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg, KY at 9 years old, then my 2nd album in Sevierville,TN with Big Mama’s Recording Studio at 12 years old. Since then, I’ve continued to be a believer in dreams and go full force perfecting my crafts.


“When I was on my high school dance team, I learned that team work was so important to our success andreally showed in our performances. My dancers are called “SilkDollz”. I grew up watching my favorite dance artists such as Janet Jackson, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, J-LO. They inspire me to continue to incorporate dramatic and theatrical choreography in my shows. I’ve learned, finding your team always adds to the fire, especially if you find a team who understands your vision the way you do.


Pulling from her pharmacy name, “RX”, she has created a superhero chemist vigilante comic book character that she portrays on stage in certain parts of her show. Taylor X really wants to push this idea as she would like to create her own comic book and turn it into an anime video series in the future. She is in the beginning phases, sharing her “Taylor X : Origins”, comic video on stage. Her sister-in-law, Kristie Sanders, is the wonderful illustrator that brings her story to life. The superhero glam girl stems from many influences and characteristics from growing up. For instance, Taylor X is a super fan of Joss Whedon’s TV Series “Buffy the vampire slayer”. She loves martial arts and girl power but also dresses with glitz and glam and all things bling. “I love rhinestones and have an obsession to rhinestone almost every costume I make”, laughs Taylor X.


Becoming a doctor of pharmacy, and working while striving for her dreams are not her only battles. Taylor X has become an advocate for skin cancer prevention and has fought her own battle with melanoma as she was diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer in June 2014. Since her diagnoses, she has went under 12 biopsies and 5 surgeries. Now, she is in the clear and doing fine but undergoing follow ups with her dermatologist regularly. In June 2016, she performed her single, “Fire”, at the Charge up Charge Pynk Champagne Gala in Atlanta, GA; a benefit to celebrate cancer survivors, raise awareness and funds for cancer warriors. Furthermore, through advocacy on social media, she is campaigning to increase awareness and prevention, empowering young women and men to prevent skin cancer and learn about early detection.


Taylor wants to inspire others to reach for their dreams, to never give up and to fulfill their lives with happiness by doing what they love. As Taylor would say, “live your life to the fullest, because if you’re not having fun, it doesn’t count.” She has a “go big or go home” kind of attitude and she’s in it for the long haul.

Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems, better known as BDS, is a service that tracks monitored radio, television and internet airplay of songs based on the number of spins and detections. The service, which is a subsidiary of Nielsen Corporation provides the basis for Nielsen Media publication Billboard in the United States, while in Canada, BDS helps determine the Canadian BDS Airplay Chart and the Canadian Hot 100 chart, which is published by Jam! and in the website for Canadian Music Network, in determining their radio airplay music charts and determines the chart movement in Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart when combined with single sales from Nielsen SoundScan.



From August 2006 to its final June 2009 publication, BDS also provided chart data for R&R after Nielsen acquired the trade. On September 10, 2009, the website Radio-Info.com struck a partnership with Nielsen BDS to provide radio airplay charts and related data for over 20 formats.[1]


Using a patented digital pattern recognition technology, Nielsen BDS captures in excess of 100 million song detections annually on more than 1,600 radio stations in over 140 U.S. markets (including Puerto Rico), 30Canadian markets and the 3 major markets in Mexico. Nielsen BDS also uses the service to track monitored airplay at satellite radio (Sirius XM), internet services (like Yahoo! and AOL) and audio networks (like Dial Global, Music Choice and Radio Disney), as well as on TV (12 U.S. music video channels and 9 Canadian video channels).


Since its 1992 debut, BDS has become the standard for the radio and music industry because of its accuracy of detecting, tracking and monitoring songs,[citation needed] thus eliminating the use of reporting and call-outs to trades and record labels when it comes to adding and testing tracks. The method has also helped tracks that only received airplay (songs that are not released as singles) become major hits, especially inBillboard’s Hot 100 chart, where several radio-only tracks have reached the top spot.

Barack Obama has become the first sitting U.S. president to visit a federal prison, and Vice was there to document it.


A new trailer for the HBO special Fixing the System offers a glimpse of the commander in chief’s tour of El Reno, a medium-security penitentiary in Oklahoma, with Vice founder Shane Smith in July. While there, Obama met with prison inmates and staff as part of the documentary examining the many interlocking pieces — and flaws — of the criminal justice system.


“We think it’s somehow normal for black youth or Latino youth to be going through the system this way,” Obama says in the trailer. “It’s not normal.”


Working with Vice comes as the latest instance of Obama spreading his message along unconventional channels; he has also appeared on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast and Zach Galifianakis’ Web series Between Two Ferns.
